Mnemesia, in English

Students usually juggle a PDF reader, a flashcard app and a quiz website that know nothing about each other. Mnemesia puts the three in one app, organized by year, semester, subject and chapter, with a review schedule anchored on your exam dates.

Since version 1.0.6, the app follows your system language: English, or French on a French system. This website, its guides and its help pages are in French.

• Courses: import your PDFs, annotate them with highlighters, text and freehand drawing (Apple Pencil, pen). Text recognition makes scanned pages selectable.
• Flashcards: front and back, cloze deletion, image occlusion, formulas. Spaced repetition with the FSRS algorithm decides what comes back, and when.
• Quizzes: multiple-choice series and timed mock exams, reviewed question by question, with every attempt kept and missed questions one click away.
• Planner: enter your exam dates and the review load spreads over the days left. The J-method places spaced reviews (J1, J3, J7…) in the calendar.
• With an AI, if you wish: Mnemesia gives you a ready-made prompt to paste, with your course, into Claude, ChatGPT or any AI. It returns flashcards or a quiz that you import in one click. Mnemesia itself calls no AI and sends nothing.
• Anki and Quizlet: .apkg decks import with their media and review history, and export back to Anki. CSV and TSV lists import too.

No sign-up, no data collected, no ads, no trackers. Your courses stay in an ordinary folder on your device. On the Mac and iPad from the App Store you can turn on iCloud: the folder then goes through your own iCloud account so both devices stay in step. There is no Mnemesia server.
